Wildland Fire Refresher 2011
Saturday June 4th or Sunday June 5th 9am-5pm
Mt Erie Fire Station
This 8 hour program is designed to give the line firefighter and officer a broad overview and annual update of numerous firefighting areas one may encounter on the wildland fireground. It exceeds the minimum requirements defined by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) and includes ICS, Safety, Fireline Hazards, Weather, Sizeups, Communication, Apparatus Placement, Fire Shelters, Fuels, Topography, and Fire Behavior overview, Urban-Interface, Tools, Mopup, and more. Through classroom, practical, and live fire application students receive a wide variety of education.
All participants must bring full wildland PPE.
Spots open to bringyour wildland engine.
