Three commissioners elected by residents within the District administrate Mt. Erie Fire District 11. The commissioners serve a six-year term, and the terms are staggered so that there is an election for a commissioner every two years.
Noel Johnson was elected in 2004 after serving 30 years as a firefighter and Assistant Chief for the District.
Pat Cummings was appointed in January 2005, after the resignation of Commissioner Ken Howard and re-elected in the 2005 Novembers election. Pat is also a Captain with Skagit Fire District 13
Dan Yount has been a firefighter with the District since 2002. He was appointed in August of 2006 to replace Greg Dunton who retired before the expiration of his term and was re-elected in November of 2007. The Board of Commissioners meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6 pm at the community hall at Station 1. The meetings are open to the public.
Della Howard is the District Secretary and has been with the District since 1994. Her husband Al Howard was a firefighter and a Captain for 25 years with the District
